Bringing third world "refugees" into our country who have no interest in in actually become Americans is foolish. Bringing in people who refuse to do anything other that demand that the government support them helps nobody. Allowing criminals to cross the border and then rewarding their illegal entry into the USA with free everything including health care and cash with SNAP cards too ? Madness ! The liberal politicians want the "Wretched refuse" to move in with the "Little people" not into the penthouse with them . Its like throwing a turd into a swimming pool , its not like you taught the turd to swim , you've just contaminated the pool and made it unpleasant for everyone else. The turds don't care. ,and neither do the libs as long as a turd doesn't land in their pool. I have absolutely NO problem with immigrants if they do it the right way , But blowing across the border and demanding free everything while contributing nothing is not the way. Do it right , put in the work and make it happen ! That has always been "The American Way" .The Land of The FREE doesn't mean what you think it means kids.

A couple years ago I put in a herb garden , I had a bunch of different perennial herbs going and it has been handy to go out and grab a hand full of fresh herbs. Now though the kitchen garden has become the oregano patch The oregano has overtaken the spot. I am not too unhappy ,its a good looking plant and the honeybees like it. Wonder how the honey tastes would it have a hint of oregano flavor ? I have another herb garden by the main garden that the mint has overrun time for mojitos !

Music is a gift . I thoroughly enjoy putting on some tunes and kicking back . I like to play also, but Im not too good. Sometimes it almost feels like therapy grab the ol acoustic guitar and bang away . I ought to spend less time on the computer and more time on the guitar. I am also thinking about what to do after I retire. That is not too far away . The thought of a podcast occurred , probably no money in that though.

I am a maintenance man . I fix stuff in a factory . My job is part Mr fix it , part teacher a bit of safety and some psychiatrist too. I work with two young dudes, one of them is a poster child for the everybody gets a participation trophy and a trip to Chuckie Cheese a total whiny entitled looser. The other is a hard working motivated go getter. I have been trying to train Mr whiny entitled one for almost a year, and it feels like I am talking to a brick wall. (He doesn't grasp the simple beginners stuff like wiping off stuff after you grease it) I share how's and whys with the other dude and he Gets It. Mr Whiny keeps making the rest of us look good ,he's that much of a fucktard . He is only good for grunt work and grease monkey level tasks .

Last fall and winter I bought a bunch of tools through work .I replaced most of my old DeWalt cordless tools with Milwaukee M12 & M18 cordless tools. I also replaced most of my old air tools with battery operated tools . That will free me up a bit. No need for an air compressor and the hose that goes with it . Now that the weather is cooperating and I am getting better after the open heart surgery I will be able to put the new stuff to work. I already like the 12 volt circular saw what a handy unit ! It is small light and quick to use. I'm done cutting in less time than it would take to untangle a extension cord and set up the big skilsaw .

once I get a little energy back I guess I will have some time to organize some stuff in the grouch cave . I'm going to be off work for quite a while , might as well make a little something happen. With the weather getting warmer it is more fun to be putzing around the ranch . Right now I cant do much due to weight restrictions but I can still fool around with small stuff .Nothing more than ten pounds so i can not do much at this time.
Kind of a setback , Sunday night I had trouble breathing , ended up going to the E.R. in town about ten in the evening. Well they decided to send me back to St. Mary's That is where the heart surgery was done . The CAT scan was showing fluid build up by where the valve and aneurism was repaired .The Dr in the ER said I might have to get it re done. Talk about a bad feeling! they said no ground transport was available , I asked if they were going to call an uber. That was when they sedated me and intubated me .(Note to self don't make wise cracks to the E.R. staff , they have ways to shut one up ! ) I got to take a helicopter ride , too bad I was out cold for it. I woke up the next morning not knowing WTF was going on. I spent most of the week in the hospital had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy done (Hope they had two different cameras for that.) and some repairs done while they were under the hood. got out yesterday . so it has been a one step foreword ,two steps back kind of week. but I'm back to making progress once again .

I survived the surgery . What a rough couple weeks. I was having atrial fibulation after the surgery and spent ten days in the hospital. They had to zap my heart to make it go back into rhythm . I was god awful sore where they opened me up. kinda weak too .looking forward to moving around a bit more and getting back to normal

Spent a day in the hospital last week getting my heart looked over in anticipation of repairs . The nurses were wonderful! I am frightened of doctors and hospitals so it was a rough day. after the sedatives , they said no driving for 24 hours. All the next day I Could NOT find my glasses. They were sitting on my dresser the whole time. I must have walked past them 10 tomes and missed them. Guess they weren't kidding! I was kind of loopy all day.I will have to talk with the surgeon March First and we will proceed from there. Wish me luck!

I gotta get organized ! My shop downstairs is a disaster. The workbench is cluttered with all the tools I recently got , and , I have to figure out some kind of way to store all the batteries and chargers and tools. I tried peg board but the hooks like to fall off and dont work all that well. I guess I will build something myself .In order to get something done I have to clear the decks somehow and make space to work so it means shuffling things around making space and moving things three times or more. This could turn into a longer process than Ii was hoping.

Working in the maintenance department for Milwaukee tools is interesting I've learned a lot, and taught some too. one cool thing is we get a decent discount on tools . The employee tool sale allows us to get stuff for half of retail price. Now , being in the maintenance department means I get to use a lot of different tools and see what is most useful , kind of like a try before you buy situation . Its nice to use tools in a real life real time before laying down hard earned cash and being disappointed . We have been swamped so lots of overtime ,and I have been spending most of the O.T. on shiny new tools to replace my old ones that have dead batteries. I had DeWalt cordless tools for a long time ,but the batteries were all getting weak, and replacing them would cost almost as much as replacing the whole tool. So I hooked one of my friends with my old cordless tools and set about refitting my kit .The cordless tools make life so much easier , no more spending an inordinate amount of time wrestling extension cords ,and the battery powered impact wrenches and die grinders make air tools obsolete . No more compressor rattling away half the time making conversation impossible , no dragging an air hose all through everything . time savers for sure!

It has been a while ! I have been working 12 hour days and that does not leave a lot of extra time for other things. Got the north bedroom done and am all moved in. It is looking like I will have to get heart surgery done that is scary , but it is better to know about it rather than have a possibly fatal surprise.

The new basement windows are working well , the subterranean vault is much more cozy and the Grouch Cave less drafty . I'm still workin...
