Visited my friend today being that  I was off work , we went and checked out Castle Rock and Rabbit Rock cool stone formations north of Wisconsin Dells .

 

 

 What is it that people are carrying for their daily carry gun ? I had 1911s and wanted something in a 9mm , so I got the HiPower. That is a really good hand gun but just as heavy as the 1911s . I found a Springfield Armory EMP 3"  Ronin in 9mm and liked that one, but decided to get something even smaller , that was the Kimber Micro 9. Well , the Kimber is a bit too small , that one is hard for me to hold onto and the trigger was terrible ,I got the Mcarbo spring kit put in and it was better , I will keep it for a backup or loaner 

 

 

   I am kind of a gun guy I like shooting it is an interesting and challenging hobby . Lately I have been into pistols .Some are fascinating to me in the design and workmanship involved. Some do not grab my interest even a little. I do not get the "Judge "  revolvers . The ones that will take .45 ACP , .45 Long Colt and .410 bore as well. I sort of get the ability to use more than one kind  ammunition could be a plus , but those are just not my cup of tea. The Derringers are another pistol that I have no interest in . Too short too small  ,too limited , maybe if I decide to be a riverboat gambler some day. and the tiny .22 revolvers are in the same category they are just enough gun to get you into real trouble but not get you out of it. The little cheap small caliber semiautomatic pistols are not in my wheelhouse either . No Jennings or Ravens here , I can save up for a little better quality hardware .  

 

 

 

 

  I saw the Dr. yesterday , the shoulder is messed up but might hold together for a while yet . I will be off through next week to let the steroids do their job and give the inflammation time to subside .  It has been really smoky here the last couple days . The fires in Mn. and Ottawa are generating lots of smoke that is drifting this way. It will also be hot again, and all the smog in the air on top of a 90+ degree day makes an ugly day .

                  The difference being the linoleum  floor only gets laid once !  

   I found myself unable to do much of anything . Recently I have been having more trouble with my shoulder . The right side has been sore off and on for a while , but now it is getting almost impossible to ignore . I had Xrays and the Dr. said probably ought to consider shoulder replacement .I could get cortisone shots put into it but that is only a temporary fix and I do not want this to come back in six months with a vengeance.

   The place has been overrun with chipmunks ! the little rodents are feasting at the bird feeders and becoming a nuisance . I put together a bucket trap and have gotten 7 or 8 in the last week . Take a swim fellows ! The best time is right after a good meal  !

 I really like the SA35 pistol , however the brown carcoat is not my thing . I prefer my pistols to look like they were made out of metal, not carved out of butterscotch pudding. The polished blue one is pretty nice looking though  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Have not been on for a bit , been preoccupied with different stupid shit. Had a week off , did not do too much. Went out with Jiro on his boat , that was fun. Also hit the shooting range and shot the pistols. Had to go into work Friday and pick up some stuff I had ordered during the spring tool sale I had forgotten what all I had ordered , extra batteries and bits and stuff . 

   My friend was thinking about getting a Springfield SA35 I offered to let him try out mine , but also suggested to just save the time and buy one  won't be disappointed at all !  Mine has been flawless so far .
