 Lots of noise being made about minimum wages needing to be much higher . Trouble is , the minimum wage should not be the destination . The minimum wage is where you start. That is what you get as a kid . That is what you get when you do not have any skills . That is what you get when you have no knowledge, or experience . As time passes people learn , You start out with the basic stuff, can you show up on time every day ?  Can you show up every day ? Did you take a shower today (Your co workers will appreciate it)  Are you willing to learn , and able to take constructive criticism  ? Can you follow instructions , and make accurate measurements ?  As people master the basic skills ,and move on to more complex jobs their expanded skill set makes them a more valuable employee able to command a bigger salary . The kids just coming into the job market want a corner office and a 7 figure paycheck just because mommy told them they are special . Sorry slugger , turns out you have to work for it just like the rest of us, and nobody is going to pay you 95k a year to flip burgers part time with a surly attitude, poor attendance , poor hygiene , with a face full of hardware and tattoos .

  Fleet Farm was having a bucket sale. Whatever fits in the pail is 15% off I decided to grab up a bunch of gun cleaning supplies and got 1 9mm boresnake , a handful of brushes , a tube of grease , and some breakfree . I threw in a few boxes of 9mm too ,and grabbed a pair of bluejeans  as well . I have one of the Harbor Freight mini tool boxes and that will get used for gun cleaning stuff . I also want to redo the bench ,and get rid of the pegboard and try something different.

 Got the Chow Chow , his name is Bear (everyone does that !) He is getting settled in , Ryker is learning new boundaries  because Bear is less tolerant of silly shit than "ol Yoda was . 

   Going to head over to West Allis and maybe(probably) rescue a dog. He is a Chow Chow that nipped a couple people and would be headed for the shelter, and dogs with that on their record do not usually have a happy ending there. I've had a few Chows they are good dogs but can be a bit protective .

 

 

 

   I've been seeing a lot of people are voting for the Socialist candidates ,most of the support is from young college students and graduates people who are supposed to have been educated . I am wondering if the people who are voting for socialist candidates picture themselves as part of the proletariat? There is only so much room at the top , and not every useful idiot will get a seat at the table . Everyone else will be out picking turnips.

   I watched some of the Fauci testifying before congress , wow what a smug prick . I really hope some deranged Luigi Mangioni type tracks that lowlife down and sends him to hell , although he deserves much worse treatment. Ideally he would be homeless, starving and freezing cold, living under a bridge knowing that all the world despises him , dying alone in misery like so many of his victims . 

 

 

   Back to work after 2 weeks off due to torn up shoulder . I hope I can keep from reinjuring it ,cant afford to miss so much work . The bills still come in so I need income. I want to find another dog to keep Ryker company when I'm working . It sucks to be alone all the time for a doggo . I really miss Yoda. He defiantly had an impact here.  

 

 

 
Sad days around the place. Yoda has passed away. He was an amazing dog .  Dude really had a personality all his own . He truly was a Good Boy and I will miss him a lot .  

 

 Visited my friend today being that  I was off work , we went and checked out Castle Rock and Rabbit Rock cool stone formations north of Wisconsin Dells .

 

 

 What is it that people are carrying for their daily carry gun ? I had 1911s and wanted something in a 9mm , so I got the HiPower. That is a really good hand gun but just as heavy as the 1911s . I found a Springfield Armory EMP 3"  Ronin in 9mm and liked that one, but decided to get something even smaller , that was the Kimber Micro 9. Well , the Kimber is a bit too small , that one is hard for me to hold onto and the trigger was terrible ,I got the Mcarbo spring kit put in and it was better , I will keep it for a backup or loaner 

 

 

   I am kind of a gun guy I like shooting it is an interesting and challenging hobby . Lately I have been into pistols .Some are fascinating to me in the design and workmanship involved. Some do not grab my interest even a little. I do not get the "Judge "  revolvers . The ones that will take .45 ACP , .45 Long Colt and .410 bore as well. I sort of get the ability to use more than one kind  ammunition could be a plus , but those are just not my cup of tea. The Derringers are another pistol that I have no interest in . Too short too small  ,too limited , maybe if I decide to be a riverboat gambler some day. and the tiny .22 revolvers are in the same category they are just enough gun to get you into real trouble but not get you out of it. The little cheap small caliber semiautomatic pistols are not in my wheelhouse either . No Jennings or Ravens here , I can save up for a little better quality hardware .  

 

 

 

 

  I saw the Dr. yesterday , the shoulder is messed up but might hold together for a while yet . I will be off through next week to let the steroids do their job and give the inflammation time to subside .  It has been really smoky here the last couple days . The fires in Mn. and Ottawa are generating lots of smoke that is drifting this way. It will also be hot again, and all the smog in the air on top of a 90+ degree day makes an ugly day .
