Took the Kimber out and tried it out . It shoots ok, it is small so harder to grasp with my big bear paws . It has three dot sights , and a 7 round capacity . It does have a bit of recoil because it is a small pistol with an aluminum alloy frame . with a little attention to form we were banging the gong with no troubles. even managed to hit the deer target at 40 yards a couple times !

As a range toy the Springfield is easier to shoot with a bigger grip and less perceived recoil , but for carrying around the Kimber wins being smaller and lighter in weight. I will not feel bad packing either one , or both in a super sketchy situation. The SA35 still wins out as overall best pistol.

Added another one to the flock. A 1911 style in 9 MM . It's a Kimber micro 9  ,I think it makes a good companion piece for the Ronin . It is smaller and lighter than the Springfield . If I can find a decent holster it'll be a good carry pistol.  Looking forward to range trip for testing and evaluation .

Not my problem , I don't know that many people !

Woah rough day , almost hit a horse on my way from work Monday ,I'm glad I was not in a hurry. generally I see lots of deer and turkeys during my commute ,but this was a new one ! Got home and crashed, and woke up to a 52 degree house . The furnace had faulted out ,had to reset and restart after topping off the water tank. Got to work and realized that I'd forgotten to change from tennis shoes to workboots , sneakers are lousy on concrete floors ,those things really tear up your feet. I see a few kids at work wearing Chuck Taylors ,those are cool, but not at work. Their feet must really be tired at the end of the shift. So after all of that I will be looking foreword to a good nights sleep .Here's hoping a flock of inebriated peafowl  do not decide to camp out in the elm tree.
