Took the Kimber out and tried it out . It shoots ok, it is small so harder to grasp with my big bear paws . It has three dot sights , and a 7 round capacity . It does have a bit of recoil because it is a small pistol with an aluminum alloy frame . with a little attention to form we were banging the gong with no troubles. even managed to hit the deer target at 40 yards a couple times !
As a range toy the Springfield is easier to shoot with a bigger grip and less perceived recoil , but for carrying around the Kimber wins being smaller and lighter in weight. I will not feel bad packing either one , or both in a super sketchy situation. The SA35 still wins out as overall best pistol.
