What to do today ? It is supposed to be a nice day according to the forecasters , I should get out and do something . When it dries out some I will spend a day picking up the float some and jet some that the winter winds have blown this way .the mailbox has taken a beating and will need some attention , and a hundred other things to do after the snow is gone .
We are in that awkward season in-between winter and spring the season of mud, everywhere you look is mud. If it isn't mud ,it is a pool of melted snow that is waiting to become mud. Time to think about the garden I suppose.

good morning friends and neighbors I hope everyone survived St. Pat's day without too bad of a hangover. Some folks are overachievers when libations are on the menu . The blizzard kind of threw everyone off their stride .Apparently they are not too organized for bad weather at work . Monday I knew day shift had been canceled , but had no word on second. About the time I start getting ready to go to work , I looked out and could not see the big yellow road sign across the highway . there was almost zero traffic so I decided to call in. I did not want to crash the truck and spend a couple hours stuck someplace with a huge tow truck bill to pay. At first the boss wanted me to at least come in and get the shift started , I respectfully declined , shortly thereafter he let me know that second shift had been called off so it did not matter . Somehow they had a communications breakdown . The info did not get out in a timely fashion.

A week ago it was 70 degrees F here , today we are experiencing a blizzard. Schools all over the area are shut down . Nearly whiteout conditions today. I might have to consider calling in to work. I hate to think what it will be like on the roads at midnight when I'm on my way home after work. They already called day shift off .
